Would you like to do something for your health and well-being and help with research in the process? At the TU Dresden, the TUDo! Online training is there to help you do this at no cost.

Developed by the Chair of Clinical Psychology and E-Mental Health at the TU Dresden, the app covers various topics, including sleep and stress management, perfectionism, self-esteem, or problem-solving skills.

New | Mentoring-Program Academia

Over a period of 12 months, our Mentoring-Program Academia supports promising postdoctoral researchers in their personal and professional development and career planning.

Reflection, networking, and further qualification help them in their next career step within academia.

Admission to the program follows a two-stage selection process based on a written application and a personal interview.

Deadline for Applications: March 7, 2022

Dr. Caspar Hopfmann has been appointed TUD Young Investigator by the rectorate.

From August 2021, he leads the junior research group “Solid-State Quantum Photonics” at the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden e. V.

The status of TUD Young Investigator strengthens the position of excellent, independent junior research group leaders in Dresden.

Friedmund Neumann Prize | Schering Stiftung

The Schering Stiftung awards the Friedmund Neumann Prize to young scientists for outstanding basic research in human biology, organic chemistry or human medicine. It carries prize money of €10,000 for an open topic.

The prize, worth €10,000, is awarded annually and honors – in tribute to Bertha Benz – pioneering spirit, courage, and a visionary mindset. It is open to young female engineers who have created significant benefits for society with the findings of their dissertations.

KlarText Prize for Science Communication 2022

The KlarText Award for Science Communication is offered by the Klaus Tschira Foundation in the following disciplines: Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Computer Science, Mathematics, Neuroscience, and Physics. Those who win can look forward to €7500 each and admission to the Foundation's alumni network. All applicants can participate free of charge in a two-day workshop on science communication.

German Thesis Award 2022 | Körber Foundation

The Körber Foundation provides annual prizes worth a total of more than €100,000 for the German Thesis Award, which is bestowed in the three subject groups—social sciences, natural and engineering sciences, and humanities and cultural studies. One top prize of €25,000 each and two second prizes of €5,000 each are awarded.
