Dear Sir or Madam Cornwall,
We are delighted to invite you to the 11th Round Table of the Cofresco Forum. This year’s Round Table is about using
biobased materials to protect food. The entire spectrum of the product and food cycle will be considered – from the
ecological impact of biobased raw materials to optimum storage and the reduction of food waste.
11th Round Table of the Cofresco Forum at the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB)
which will take place in Potsdam, Germany, on 16 November 2017, will provide answers and insights on the following
topics and questions:
During an extensive hands-on session, participants will have the opportunity to view the latest research results and
ATB’s test facilities for themselves and to discuss them in detail with experts. The laboratories used to produce basic
materials for bioplastics will be presented, as well as test series for various approaches to food preservation – such
as developments in the field of modified atmosphere packaging.
- Which new materials are there and which are suitable for food packaging?
- How sustainable are biobased plastics?
- How can we improve the detection of pathogens and display the individual shelf life of food items?
After the session, you are cordially invited to network with speakers and other attendees during a casual get-together.
We look forward to welcoming you!
With best regards
Head of Technology & Sustainability, Cofresco
