Liebe Country Night Gstaad-Freunde
Lee Ann Womack trat zu Beginn ihrer grossen Karriere im Jahre 1998 in Gstaad auf. Damals noch im alten Festivalzelt bei der Eggli-Talstation – die langjährigen Besucher mögen sich wohl noch daran erinnern. Es freut uns sehr, Lee Ann Womack nach 18 Jahren am 9. und 10. September 2016 wieder in Gstaad willkommen zu heissen.
Der Newcomer Brett Eldredge erblickte in etwa zu gleicher Zeit das Licht der Welt als sich die gestandenen Musiker von Diamond Rio in der Mitte der 80er-Jahre zusammenfanden. Beide treten in diesem Jahr erstmals in Gstaad auf. Zu diesem illustren Kreis gesellt sich der Schweizer Country- und Rock’n’Roll-Musiker Paul Mac Bonvin mit seiner Band.

Dear Country Night Gstaad Fans,
Lee Ann Womack performed in Gstaad in 1998 at the beginning of her great career. At the time in the old Festival Tent near the valley station of the Eggli cable car – long-time fans will remember it well. We are really delighted to welcome Lee Ann Womack back to Gstaad again after 18 years on September 9 and 10, 2016.
Newcomer Brett Eldredge was born in the mid-1980s just as the established musicians of Diamond Rio were getting together. Both will be performing in Gstaad for the first time this year. Swiss country and rock’n’roll musician Paul Mac Bonvin and his band will be joining this illustrious group.
The official advance booking office opens as of today. Book early to make sure you get good seats. With its ‘Cultural Diversity’, the 28th Country Night Gstaad is certainly well worth a visit. See you soon. |

Im Jahre 1997 erschien das Debüt-Album von Lee Ann Womack. Ein Jahr später trat sie u.a. mit The Mavericks in Gstaad auf. Seither konnte die mit einer faszinierenden Stimme gesegnete Sängerin Erfolge wie den Gewinn eines Grammys und mehrerer CMA- und ACM-Titel feiern. Auch dieses Jahr war Lee Ann in den beiden Sparten „Best Country Song“ und „Best Country Solo Performance“ für die Grammys nominiert. Ihr aktuelles Werk heisst «The Way I'm Livin'». Lee Ann Womack’s debut Album was released in 1997. One year later she performed in Gstaad with The Mavericks. Since then, this singer who is blessed with a fascinating voice has enjoyed considerable success, winning a Grammy and several CMA and ACM awards. This year Lee Ann was again nominated for a Grammy in the two categories ‘Best Country Song’ and ‘Best Country Solo Performance’. Her current studio album is ‘The Way I'm Livin'. We are eagerly awaiting her performance.

Seit der ersten Ausgabe (!) der Country Night Gstaad im Jahre 1989 führte Christa Hauswirth die Geschicke dieses renommierten Grossanlasses. Sie war massgeblich am Aufbau und am späteren Erfolg der Country Night Gstaad beteiligt. Nach 28 Jahren im Eventbusiness zieht es Christa in die Gastronomie-Branche. Sie wird am 1. April 2016 Geschäftsführerin des umgebauten Charly’s Tea Room in Gstaad.
Ihre Nachfolgerin ist Heidi Raaflaub. Heidi Raaflaub kennt sich als Einheimische bestens über die Events im Saanenland aus. Sie arbeitet bereits seit Jahren beim Gstaader Tennisturnier.

Since the very first edition (!) of the Country Night Gstaad in 1989 Christa Hauswirth has been responsible for this high-level event. She played a key role in establishing the Country Night Gstaad and its subsequent success. After 28 years in event management Christa now feels drawn to the catering trade. On April 1, 2016 she will take over as manager of the redesigned Charly’s Tea Room in Gstaad.
Heidi Raaflaub, who grew up in the Saanenland and knows our major events inside out, will take her place. She has been involved with the Gstaad tennis tournament for many years.

Coole Partystimmung auf und an den Gstaader Pisten bietet das Festival „Ride on Music“ vom 10. bis 13. März. Während vier Tagen finden elf Konzerte an sechs Standorten im Schneesportgebiet zwischen Schönried und Saanenmöser statt. Headliner am Samstag sind Patent Ochsner, eine der beliebtesten Schweizer Bands und frischgebackene Gewinner von drei Swiss Music Awards.

The ‚Ride on Music’ Festival offers you a cool party atmosphere on and off Gstaad’s pistes from March 10 to 13. Over a 4-day period there will be eleven concerts at six different locations in the snow sports region between Schönried and Saanenmöser. Headliner on Saturday is Patent Ochsner, one of the most popular Swiss bands and brand new winner of three Swiss Music Awards.
